The Bench From 'The Fault in Our Stars' Has Disappeared

File a Missing Chair report: The green bench that Hazel and Augustus sit and kiss on in "The Fault in Our Stars" has mysteriously disappeared from its spot on Amsterdam's Leidsegracht canal.



According to The Hollywood Reporter, the bench -- which has hundreds of replicas around the city -- has been missing for at least a month. A large flowerpot is now in its place. The city was alerted to the disappearance when fans of the movie wanted to see the spot where Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort locked lips.



"It's a bit embarrassing, because we do keep good track of them, but it's gone all right," said Amsterdam city spokesman Stephan van der Hoek.



Was the bench taken by fans wanting to own a piece of the movie? Did neighbors tired of tourists remove it? Is this a simple case of vandalism? It's even possible the city itself took it away for repairs!



Van der Hoek promised that the bench would be replaced within the next few weeks, if there's a replacement in stock. In the meantime, he joked, "Keep your eyes on eBay."

Happy Holidays, Indeed: 'Sherlock' is Getting a 2015 Christmas Special

Happy, happy Christmas, "Sherlock" fans!



In 2015.



As "Sherlock" fans well know, it's nearly impossible to get super-in-demand stars Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman together to film new episodes of the BBC series. Creators Steven Moffatt and Mark Gatiss previously warned us that season 4 might not happen for two years! But Freeman doled out a sliver of hope a few months ago when he revealed they might film a one-off special before then.



Now, the "Hobbit" and "Fargo" star tells the Telegraph it's "pretty likely" that the team will reunite in early 2015 to make a Christmas special to air later that year.



"If that's going to be a special - I'm speaking off-message here; if this was New Labour, I'd get fired - I think that might be for next Christmas," he said. "A Christmas special. That's what I understand."



That's some 17 months away -- if it airs in the U.S. concurrently as the U.K. It's like the best / worst Christmas present ever.

'Boardwalk Empire' Teaser: Can Nucky Stay Alive Long Enough to Cash Out?

All empires fall.



That's the message in the brief teaser for the fifth and final season of HBO's "Boardwalk Empire," which is very concerning for Nucky Thompson (Steve Buscemi).



There isn't much footage in the video, which is set to an ominous cover of Harry Nilsson's "One" by Alva Noto & Blixa Bargeld). We see flashes of Nucky on the boardwalk and in a boardroom, and get glimpses at Lucky Luciano, Al Capone, Nelson Van Alden, and Chalky White.



Speaking of Chalky -- his portrayer, Michael K. Williams, recently revealed that "Boardwalk Empire" will have a major time jump.



"The storyline has jumped seven years [into the future], which is why I have the beard now," Williams told Den of Geek. "The Depression has set in. The days of the shiny shoes and fancy suits are long gone."



Nucky without shiny shoes? His empire really has fallen!



"Boardwalk Empire" premieres September 2014.

Fox Cancels 'Hieroglyph' ... Before It Even Airs

In what might be one of the quickest cancellations ever, Fox is pulling the plug on "Hieroglyph," a drama set in ancient Egypt.



According to The Hollywood Reporter, the network decided not to make the series due to "creative reasons." "Hieroglyph" was greenlit just last month by former Fox entertainment chairman Kevin Reilly, who reportedly envisioned it as Fox's version of "Game of Thrones."



Only the pilot had been shot; writers have been working on the other 12 episodes for a midseason premiere. But sources tell THR that the scripts were not at an acceptable quality level.



"Hieroglyph" starred Max Brown as a thief who stayed out of prison by serving the Pharaoh (Reece Ritchie) in navigating "navigating palace intrigue, seductive concubines, criminal underbellies and even a few divine sorcerers."



This isn't the first time Fox has canceled a show before it ever aired; the network yanked "Us & Them," a romantic comedy starring Alexis Bledel and Jason Ritter that had shot six episodes. Those episodes will never air, locked away in Fox's vault.



But Fox isn't doing away with all of Reilly's pick-ups. "Gotham," "Mulaney," "Backstrom," "Red Band Society," and its other freshman shows are all expected to debut this fall.

'The Bachelorette' Week 7: Who's Up, Who's Down, Who's Out

The stakes were high in this week's "Bachelorette" episode, as the hometown dates loomed just out of reach. Andi and the remaining suitors headed to Brussels where tensions soared and love bloomed. What went down?



-Marcus had the first one on one, a date that involved galavanting around Brussels eating Belgian waffles and mussels. At dinner we saw a different, more emotional side of him when he opened up about his difficult childhood. Things are starting to get real, y'all.



-There were only supposed to be two one on ones, as usual, but sneaky Nick wasn't having it. He totally snuck up to Andi's hotel room after her date, whisked her off for a late night rendezvous (a move she very into), and they made out for what seemed like two full hours.



-Josh got a one on one in the lovely city of Ghent. After some awkwardness and tiptoeing, he admitted to Andi he was falling in love with her. Finally. Andi perked up after this revelation and all seemed well.



-The group date had the guys rail bike peddling up to a monastery with Andi in tow. After each of their guys got their respective time with her, it was time to give out the group date rose. Nick. Dun dun dun. The men were not pleased. Nick and Andi got even more time together, and of course, his already bloated confidence skyrocketed. There were fireworks. No, seriously, there were actual fireworks on their date.



-Later, the guys confronted Nick about his game playing ways. Apparently he's more about strategy than Andi, and he's (here it comes...) not there for the right reasons.



Let's dive further into where these remaining fellows stand:



Who's out? Despite "putting all his eggs in one basket" and getting those feelings out there, Brian did not make the cut. Dylan, who hasn't had much quality screen time lately anyhow, was also sent home.



Who's up? At this point in the game all the men are contenders since things are getting so very serious and family is about to be involved. Marcus is definitely creeping up on Andi's radar thanks to his total openness.



MVP: It's gotta be Nick. The guy "broke the rules" and took Andi a rogue date, got the group rose and even more one on one time, and managed to be hated by the other contestants while he was at it.



Somewhere in the middle: Chris. At one point in the group date, sweet Chris and Andi went all "Ghost" and got flirty with some clay. They're cute and all, but we want to see their relationship go to a deeper place if it's going to progress.



Somewhere we're not sure: Josh and Andi seem like a great match, but it still feels like there's a missing piece to that puzzle. He's trying to go the honest route with this whole thing and his I love yous felt a little forced, even if he does have feelings for Andi.



Time (and those always dramatic hometown dates) will tell what's in store for Andi's final four.

Melissa McCarthy Talks Susan Sarandon's Ankles, Marc Maron Remembers a Fallen Childhood Idol in Our Late Night Roundup (VIDEO)

Melissa McCarthy stopped by "Jimmy Kimmel Live" to promote her new movie, "Tammy," and while Kimmel asked her about a host of topics, the conversation always seemed to turn back to McCarthy's costar, Susan Sarandon, who plays McCarthy's grandmother in the film. In the first clip, the actress chatted about her upcoming handprint ceremony at TCL (formerly Grauman's) Chinese Theater in Hollywood, and how she may go barefoot to imprint her feet, a technique suggested by Sarandon. "If it's good enough for Susan Sarandon, I'm gonna fake that it's good enough for me," McCarthy said.



Speaking of Sarandon, in the next clip, McCarthy discussed how the veteran actress's beauty was actually a hindrance to production, since Tammy and her grandmother are supposed to look "dumpy" in the film. But Sarandon is so naturally pretty, McCarthy said, that they'd often have to halt production to make her lighting less flattering, and even gave her prosthetic ankles. "Like, whose ankles are gorgeous?" McCarthy asked Kimmel, noting that "the amount of effort that went into taking the glow off" of the actress was astounding.



McCarthy also recounted her recent experience throwing out the first pitch at a Los Angeles Dodgers game, and how Dodgers pitcher Brian Wilson psyched her out beforehand. While the actress acknowledged that Wilson's ribbing was all in good fun, she said she'd still hate to be another player facing him at the plate. "I'd just throw my bat and run," she said.



Also on "Kimmel," comedian Marc Maron chatted about how his childhood in Albuquerque, New Mexico was ruined when a local children's television show host, Captain Billy, was shot. Maron explained that his father, a doctor, came home and delivered the news, and when a 7- or 8-year-old Maron asked why it happened, his father gave the blunt reply, "Some guy caught him screwing his wife." "In retrospect, that's probably the most important thing I learned from Captain Billy," Maron told Kimmel.



Maron also talked about his popular podcast, "WTF," and an awkward mix-up he had with similarly-monikered guests. The comedian said that his assistant had told him she'd booked actor Kevin McDonald, of "The Kids in the Hall" fame, only to have a complete stranger show up for a recording instead. Maron quickly learned that it was British director Kevin Macdonald ("The Last King of Scotland"), about whom Maron knew nothing. While the comedian was able to record a shortened version of "WTF," he said he still wants to get McDonald in the studio and release the interviews together.



Finally, over on "Chelsea Lately," actor Eric Bana stopped by to chat about his new movie, "Deliver Us From Evil," and the real-life demonologist who inspired the flick. Bana said he prepared for the role by watching clips of exorcisms, noting that the ceremonies were "eerie" and kept him up at night. Host Chelsea Handler offered Bana some moral support, but balked when the married actor clutched her with his wedding ring clad hand. "Why would you throw that in my face?!" asked an incredulous Handler.
