While the site declined to provide specific details about Whedon's scene -- after all, "Winter Soldier"'s release date isn't that far away -- it noted that fans would clearly be able to tell which of the two post-credits sequences was Whedon's, and that it should get fanboys and -girls excited for "Age of Ultron"'s release. (The other post-credits sequence was directed by "Winter Soldier" helmers Joe and Anthony Russo.)
So what could Whedon's scene be? "Winter Soldier" features Avengers members Captain America (Chris Evans) and Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), so perhaps they'll briefly reunite with the rest of the Avengers gang?
Whatever the sequence entails, it should hopefully make the seemingly endless wait for "Ultron" bearable. (Or maybe just make fans that much more anxious for its debut.)
"Captain America: The Winter Soldier" is set for release on April 4. "Avengers: Age of Ultron" hits theaters May 1, 2015.
