Could six seasons and a movie be in the cards for HBO's lightning-rod comedy "Girls"?
At a Television Academy panel last night, the cast and crew -- creator/star Lena Dunham; actors Allison Williams, Zosia Mamet, Jemima Kirke, and Andrew Rannells; and executive producer Ilene S. Landress -- talked about their buzzed-about series, including whether there might be a big-screen version someday. If "Veronica Mars" can make the leap, why not "Girls"?
"Sure. Why not?" Landress said, adding, "if Lena and Jenni [Konner] and Judd [Apatow] have something left to say."
OK, so let's not buy our advance tickets just yet.
Other tidbits from the panel:
- Allison Williams is "obsessed with 'Frozen'" and would star as Anna in a Broadway musical version of the movie -- if she isn't too old by the time it happens.
- The sex scenes on "Girls" all smell different (ew).
- On a scale of 1-10, Dunham says, "You should be at an eight of worried for the characters all the time."
