If you're like us and value your sleep, you probably nodded off into your Ambien dreamland before the party started on post-prime time TV. Don't worry; we've got you covered. Here's the best of what happened last night on late night.
Sadly, David Letterman is winding down his term as "Late Show" host. On Monday night, President Barack Obama stopped by on the farewell tour. They talked about their mutual retirement plans (play dominoes together?) and President Obama said he knows Dave likes Michelle more than him. (Michelle was a guest late last week.) Dave asked POTUS if this was the first country in which he was president. "It is, I suspect, the first and last country that I'm president. Unlike late-night talk show hosts, I have a term limit." Ba-dum-dum. Then the president gave a beautiful little speech in Dave's honor. "We've grown up with you. The country, I think, has - you know, after a tough day at the office or coming home from work, knowing you've been there to give us a little bit of joy and a little bit of laughter, it has meant so much. And you're part of all of us. You've given us a great gift and we love you." Sniff! Will Ferrell was also on "Late Show" Monday night, and here he is stepping out as late Chicago Cubs announcer Harry Caray: Over on "The Tonight Show," Jimmy Fallon and guest Jack Black recreated the "More Than Words" music video. Jimmy looks good with that hair, he should keep it. Here's the original, if you want to compare: Jeremy Renner was on "Conan" and they discussed how he jokingly called Black Widow a slut and there was Internet backlash. Jeremy didn't back down from it. "We're talking about fictional characters and fictional behavior, but if you slept with four of the six Avengers, no matter how much fun you had, you'd be a slut. Just saying. I'd be a slut." Abigail Breslin was on "Late Night with Seth Meyers," talking about working with Arnold Schwarzenegger in "Maggie." She told this great story about rambling on about someone on Facebook, and Ahhhhnold was right behind her. Speaking of Ahhhnold, he was on "The Late Late Show with James Corden," along with Whitney Cummings, who sat on Arnold's lap. Arnold talked about his filmography and discussed why "Kindergarden Cop" is his favorite movie. He also shared his surprise that the "Terminator" franchise has been so successful and discussed that he almost lost the lead role to O.J. Simpson. Now you have to watch Arnold act out all of his films in six minutes, ala Tom Hanks doing the same for James' first show. James' "Predator" impression is pretty hilarious and the silly string "freeze" is classic. At least stay to the 4 minute mark for the sexy "True Lies" strip tease. Jimmy Kimmel talked about his experience being part of Manny Pacquiao's entourage as his own Justin Bieber: Ryan Seacrest was on "Jimmy Kimmel Live," talking about the Mayweather/Pacquiao fight, plus Bruce Jenner and the upcoming Kardashian special. Jimmy explained why he was bouncing behind Manny when they entered the ring. He thought they were all going to do a bounce together. Brittany Snow was also on JKL and Jimmy shared that his mom is a big fan of "Pitch Perfect."
