"Fear the Walking Dead" is now airing on AMC, but don't forget about the main show, which is busy filming "the best season so far of the show." That's the hype from Ross Marquand, who plays Aaron, and talked to ComicBook.com about what's ahead in "The Walking Dead" Season 8.
The Season 8 trailer should be coming next month at San Diego Comic-Con, and the site asked Marquand if he thought they could outdo the Season 7 trailer. Marquand nodded, and told ComicBook, "I think, I mean, for as cool as the tiger is, we all love Shiva, but I think what we've got to show here in Season 8 is going to trump everything that we've ever done on the show by far."
The cast can't share specifics, beyond the obvious plot point that Season 8 will follow the All Out War between Team Negan and Team Rick, picking up from the Season 7 finale. But Marquand did tease, "I think with what we're capturing so far I think it's going to be the best season so far of the show. I think it's so, so well crafted." He said every episode has blown him away, "and I think it is going to raise the stakes even higher than the show has ever gone before, which is saying a lot considering the stake-rising we've been doing every single year for the last seven."
The Season 8 premiere will also mark the 100th episode of the series, and we've been promised it will be "super exciting" and "really, really satisfying" with a ton of action. Here's a minor spoiler on the premiere, if you're interested in that sort of thing.
"The Walking Dead" Season 8 starts airing this October on AMC.
