Mark Ruffalo Teases Hulk Romance in 'Avengers: Age of Ultron'

When you're part of an all-star team of superheroes constantly called upon to save the world, it must be hard to find time for dating. But according to the actor who plays him, the Incredible Hulk may try to give it a shot in the next "Avengers" film.



In an interview with Vulture, Mark Ruffalo danced around the subject when discussing "Avengers: Age of Ultron," next year's sequel to the 2012 mega Hulk smash "The Avengers." Ruffalo revealed that he's already shot much of his CGI Hulk scenes via motion capture and green screen, and he's poised to join his human counterparts on the film's South Africa set sometime next month. He also mentioned that filmmakers would be using some camera tricks to disguise pregnant Scarlett Johansson's growing baby bump by "shoot[ing] a lot of closeups" of the actress.



But it was Ruffalo's response to a query about the truth to a rumor of Bruce Banner's love life that caught our attention. Noting that the actor had a "wide grin," Vulture reports that Ruffalo all but confirmed speculation that the hero would be dating someone in the next film.



"That may or may not be true," he told the site, which added that the response was delivered "coyly."



So who should Bruce Banner pair up with? A fellow superhero, perhaps? Or someone who can give him a break from all that aforementioned world saving? And how awkward will it be if he transforms into the Hulk during an argument?



All will be revealed when "Avengers: Age of Ultron" opens on May 1, 2015.
