Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill truly put the "buddy" in "buddy cop comedy," as this new featurette for "22 Jump Street," premiering today exclusively on Moviefone, proves.
The clip features interviews with cast members including Tatum, Hill, and Ice Cube, who discuss how the actors' off-screen camaraderie fuels their performance as cops Jenko and Schmidt.
"So much of the humor and heart of this movie comes from the fact that Chan and I have a really great friendship in real life," Hill says, while Tatum compares his relationship with Hill to that of "Bad Boys" stars Will Smith and Martin Lawrence.
In addition to the talking heads, the clip also showcases some behind-the-scenes goofing around between the co-stars, interspersed with shots from the actual film. While Deputy Chief Hardy (Nick Offerman) may tell Schmidt and Jenko that he "hoped never to see [them] again," this featurette only reminds us how excited we are to find out what the boys have been up to since 2012's "21 Jump Street."
"22 Jump Street" hits theaters on June 13.
