'Game of Thrones' Season 5 Trailer: Khaleesi Is a Queen, Not a Butcher

Along with yesterday's big news of a standalone service on Apple, HBO gave us the gift of a new trailer for season 5 of "Game of Thrones."



The clip begins with Daenerys Targaryen describing the major families of Westeros (Lannister, Stark, etc.) as spokes in a wheel - a wheel she intends to smash. Does this mean Khaleesi is ready to fight for the throne?



There's a ton of new footage: Tyrion glimpses one of Khaleesi's dragons; Jon Snow urges cooperation with the wildlings, even as they continue to battle; Arya and Sansa, on different sides of the ocean, look fearful; and fights ... lots of fights.



"Game of Thrones" season 5 premieres April 12.
