Leonard Nimoy's Son Adam Will Be on 'The Big Bang Theory,' See First Photo

The late great Leonard Nimoy never managed to appear on "The Big Bang Theory," but the CBS show, and especially Sheldon (Jim Parsons), have mentioned Spock numerous times and the sitcom honored the "Star Trek" legend after his death in late February. Now his legacy will be honored by his son, Adam Nimoy, who will appear on the show's Thursday, November 5 episode.

Nimoy, and recurring guest star Wil Wheaton, will appear in "The Spock Resonance," with Adam asking Sheldon to be in a documentary about his father. As it happens, Adam is making a documentary, called "For the Love of Spock," after getting enough support on Kickstarter.

Here's CBS's first photo from the episode:

As CBS teased of the big Nimoy/Sheldon meeting, "While being interviewed, Sheldon struggles to suppress his emotions about his recent break-up with Amy, despite his overwhelming excitement for the sci-fi subject matter."

Live long and Bazinga, everyone!
