Considering how much of a Debbie Downer the first half of "The Walking Dead" Season 7 has been, it's welcome news to hear the second half will be "very different."
Showrunner Scott M. Gimple confirmed to ComicBook.com that Season 7's last day of production was Friday, November 18. That means they are finishing up filming for Episode 16, even though fans are just preparing to watch Episode 5 this Sunday, November 20. Episode 8, which airs December 11, is the midseason finale -- the end of "7A" -- then the show will be on winter break until it returns to launch eight more episodes -- 7B -- in February 2017.
Gimple wouldn't tease what's ahead, but he did tell Comicbook, "7B's vibe is very different from 7A's vibe. The ending of 7B is very different than the beginning of 7A." Will either finale be positive? We have to wait and see.

SPOILERS AHEAD
The Spoiling Dead Fans has been posting set photos, plus details on who was seen filming in this last week. Here are two recent reports:
"Filming yesterday took place at Alexandria again. Reported sightings: Rick, Michonne, Daryl, Maggie, Ezekiel, and Daniel. Mr. Scott Gimple was also spotted lurking around set. There were reports of cheering and chanting inside the walls. Perhaps a celebration or some kind of rally? Did our heroes kick some Savior ass? A male character was also heard talking after the chanting. It might have been Ezekiel. Filming is still happening in Alexandria today. It's been a lot more quiet. Only sighting so far is Daryl. Here's some more pictures of Carl, Enid, and Dianne at Baggarly Way (Thanks Ashley G!!) and also a clear shot of Negan. These are all from Tuesday 11/15."
"Filming at Alexandria today was a bit quiet. There were sightings of Rick, Michonne, Daryl, Tara, Carol, Dwight, Sasha, and the Garbage Pail Kids. Daryl was supposedly spotted with a crossbow."
"Garbage Pail Kids" is their term for a new junkyard group fans will meet later in the season.
We won't see any of that until spring 2017, but at least it gives you an idea of how many characters will still be around for the big finale. Head here for more updates.
"The Walking Dead" Season 7 airs Sundays at 9 p.m. on AMC.
