Christian Bale and Amy Adams are well-used to losing themselves into roles, but this might be their biggest transformations yet.
Photos from the set of Adam McKay's untitled Dick Cheney biopic are circulating, showing the two actors looking unrecognizable as the former vice president and his wife, Lynne.
That's Christian Bale, not the real Dick Cheney in this photo https://t.co/5mDJeP0W0F http://pic.twitter.com/HkAGzsnyHG

Bale has undergone major transformations before, losing tons of weight for "The Machinist" and bulking up for "The Dark Knight." But along with his own weight gain and hair and makeup effects, the actor could easily be Cheney's long-lost twin. In that power suit and wig, Adams also looks like a replica of Lynne Cheney.
McKay is better known for his comedies ("Anchorman," "Talladega Nights") but found success in more dramatic fare with the Oscar-nominated "Big Short." He's stacked the cast with Steve Carell as Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, Tyler Perry as Colin Powell, Alison Pill as daughter Mary Cheney, and Sam Rockwell as President George W. Bush.
Production is still underway on the untitled film, and there is no release date. But it's not hard to see this making a splash in the 2018 awards season.
