Netflix Renews 'Daredevil' for Season 2

Everyone is talking about "Daredevil," Marvel's new Netflix series that's become a cultural touchstone since its release earlier this month. So it should come as no surprise, then, that the streaming service has picked up the show for another season.

Netflix and Marvel announced the renewal earlier this week, noting that season two should debut sometime in 2016. The series will also get new showrunners for its second go-around, with Doug Petrie ("Buffy the Vampire Slayer," "American Horror Story") and Marco Ramirez ("Sons of Anarchy") subbing in for Steven S. DeKnight and Drew Goddard.

Goddard will stay on as an executive producer for season two, alongside Jeph Loeb ("Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.").

"Daredevil" stars Charlie Cox, Rosario Dawson, Vincent D'Onofrio, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Scott Glenn, Bob Gunton, Toby Leonard Moore, Vondie Curtis Hall, and Ayelet Zurer. It's the first of four planned Marvel-centric series coming to Netflix, with "A.K.A. Jessica Jones" and "Luke Cage" set to premiere on the streaming service later this year and in 2016, respectively.
