Alec Baldwin to Host 'SNL' for Record 17th Time

Saturday Night Live - Season 42Trump impersonator Alec Baldwin may not have appeared on the most recent episode of "Saturday Night Live," but he's making up for that absence in a big way, and will return to the show as its host next month.

Baldwin will emcee "SNL" on February 11, marking his record-setting 17th time as host. That appearance will break the actor's own record for the most times a single person has hosted the show; he was previously tied at 15 hosting gigs apiece with fellow comic Steve Martin, before pulling ahead with his 16th hosting appearance in September 2011.

While 2011 marked his last time as host, Baldwin has been a frequent presence on the "SNL" stage in recent years, including his recurring gig this season playing the new commander in chief. Trump himself has publicly denounced Baldwin's impression (and the show itself) multiple times on Twitter, so there's no telling what the new POTUS will say when he hears the actor is set to headline an entire episode.

Before Baldwin takes the Studio 8H stage, actress Kristen Stewart will make her hosting debut on February 4, alongside musical guest Alessia Cara (who most recently contributed to the "Moana" soundtrack). Ed Sheeran will mark his second stint as musical guest when Baldwin hosts on the 11th.
