In Eerie 'A Quiet Place' Trailer, Making a Sound Might Get You Killed

In the unsettling first trailer for the horror film "A Quiet Place," a family lives in complete silence, because "if they can't hear you, they can't hunt you."

Real-life couple Emily Blunt and John Krasinski team up for their first film together, in which the play husband and wife leading a nearly silent existence at an isolated farmhouse in the woods. (Never a safe location in horror movies.)

The family communicates only via sign language, but when their son (Noah Jupe) knocks over a lantern, they're terrified to hear loud thumps on their roof. They seem to have an elaborate alarm system set up, because when Krasinski looks out the window, a red light goes on, signalling that something is indeed out there.

"Wonderstruck" breakout actress Millicent Simmonds, who is deaf in real life, plays their daughter.

Krasinski directs the film, which was written by Scott Beck and Bryan Woods.

The movie opens April 6, 2018.
