Jordan Peele is Bringing Back 'The Twilight Zone'

Jordan PeeleThe good news: Jordan Peele, whose eerie horror film "Get Out" would have made Rod Serling proud, is bringing back iconic sci-fi series "The Twilight Zone."

The bad news: It will apparently be on CBS All Access, which means we'll have to pay to see it.

CBS CEO Leslie Moonves on Thursday announced yesterday that CBS All Access is readying a new version of the Emmy-winning anthology series, which initially ran on CBS from 1959-1964. According to THR, Jordan Peele will be producing under his Monkeypaw banner. Marco Ramirez (whose credits include Netflix Marvel dramas "The Defenders" and "Daredevil," as well as "Sons of Anarchy") will be writing the script for the pilot and will serve as showrunner.

A new version of "The Twilight Zone" ran from 1985 to 1989, beginning with an episode starring Bruce Willis and directed by Wes Craven. A even briefer UPN revival in 2002 was hosted by Forest Whitaker. CBS last tried to revive the series in 2012 with "X-Men" director Bryan Singer.

No date has been announced for when we can expect the turn of "The Twilight Zone."
