New Video on Demand, Rental Streaming, and Digital

"Affairs of State"
This political thriller will be available on demand Friday, June 15, which is the same day it hits theaters. "In his quest for power, D.C. aide Michael Lawson (David Corenswet) will do anything to take part in Senator Baines's (David James Elliott) White House campaign, including blackmailing Baines's shady advisor (Adrian Grenier) and sleeping with the candidate's wife (Mimi Rogers). But when he gets involved with the senator's alluring daughter, Lawson learns his dangerous game could have a deadly payoff." The film also stars Thora Birch and Grace Victoria Cox.

Billy Bob Thornton returns for Season 2 of the legal drama that earned him a Golden Globe win last year. The Prime Original series follows Billy McBride (Thornton) as he returns to defend a 16-year-old boy accused of a grisly double homicide. The eight-episode second season starts streaming on Amazon Prime starting June 15.

"Strange Angel" (CBS All Access)
Jack Reynor, Bella Heathcote, Rupert Friend, and Michael Gaston star in this new drama exploring the intersection of genius and madness. The series premieres June 14 on the CBS All Access streaming service, following mysterious and brilliant Jack Parsons in 1930s Los Angeles. By day he helps birth the entirely unknown discipline of American rocketry, and by night he's a performer of sex magick rituals and a disciple to occultist Aleister Crowley.

"Acrimony"
Taraji P. Henson stars in Tyler Perry's suspenseful thriller about a woman who takes revenge on her unfaithful husband. The movie arrives on Digital June 12 and on Blu-ray Combo Pack (plus DVD and Digital), DVD, and On Demand June 26. The release comes with a featurette called "Unleashing Acrimony," with Tyler Perry sharing what inspired him to write the film, a personal favorite of his to date.

TV Worth Watching

"Shades of Blue" Season 3 (Sunday on NBC at 10 p.m.)SHADES OF BLUE -- "One Last Lie" Episode 113 -- Pictured: Jennifer Lopez as Det. Harlee Santos -- (Photo by: Peter Kramer/NBC)The End begins this week. Jennifer Lopez's crime drama was renewed for a third and final season, starting June 17. The 10 episodes start with "Good Police": "In the aftermath of their near-death experiences, Harlee (Jennifer Lopez) and Wozniak (Ray Liotta) discover a mysterious and grisly crime scene."

"12 Monkeys" Season 4 (Friday on Syfy at 8 p.m.)
"12 Monkeys" is also starting its final season this week. The 11 episodes of Season 4 will air across four weeks, starting June 15, with three episodes airing each Friday until a two-part series finale on July 6. Executive producer Terry Matalas told EW, "Season 4 is the most ambitious season of 12 Monkeys to date in terms of emotional and mythological payoff, scope, visual effects, and score." Cole (Aaron Stanford) and Cassie (Amanda Schull) set out to find a weapon capable of stopping the Witness for good, but they discover that in order to win the final battle and save time itself, they have to make the ultimate sacrifice.

"The Affair" Season 4 (Sunday on Showtime at 9 p.m.)
The fourth season of Showtime's Golden Globe-winning drama returns with new mysteries on June 17. "Noah (Dominic West) struggles to adjust to his new life after moving to Los Angeles to be closer to his kids; Helen (Maura Tierney) finally discovers the source of her anxiety, only to be blind-sided by a new catastrophe.

New on DVD and Blu-ray

"Sherlock Gnomes"Sherlock Gnomes is on the case in this animated adventure, which arrives on Blu-ray and DVD on June 12. The Blu-ray comes with nearly 45 minutes of fun extras with the all-stars cast -- Johnny Depp, Emily Blunt, James McAvoy, and Mary J. Blige -- including behind-the-scenes featurettes on the music, locations, and animation.

"Tomb Raider"
Alicia Vikander is the new Lara Croft in this video game adaptation costarring Dominic West, Walton Goggins, Daniel Wu and Kristin Scott Thomas. Check out the action movie on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray, Blu-ray 3D, regular Blu-ray, and DVD on June 12. Bonus features include "Tomb Raider: Uncovered," with the cast and crew talking about bringing this story to a new generation; plus "Croft Training," "Breaking Down the Rapids," and "Lara Croft: Evolution of an Icon."

"Love, Simon"
This coming-of-age romantic comedy from the producers of "The Fault in Our Stars" arrives on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD on June 12. Extras include the featurettes "The Adaptation," sharing how the book "Simon vs. The Homo Sapiens Agenda" by Becky Albertalli was adapted into this movie; "The Squad"; "#FirstLoveStoryContest"; "Dear Georgia"; and "Dear Atlanta." You can also listen to audio commentary by director Greg Berlanti, producer Isaac Klausner and co-Screenwriter Issac Aptaker.

"Menace and Murder: A Lynda La Plante Collection"
Three of Lynda La Plante's acclaimed mystery thrillers -- "Supply & Demand," "Killer Net," and "Mind Games" -- have never been on DVD in the U.S. before. They'll make their debut as part of the star-studded "Menace & Murder" collection from Acorn TV on June 12. The five-disc set features 10 episodes and two feature-length episodes of the three series.

New on Netflix

"Queer Eye" Season 2 (Netflix Original)The Fab 5 are ready to return this week, for a new season of life makeovers and inspirational stories. There's also a new theme song! Things just keep getting better, henny, and this time "they're doing a lady." New episodes begin streaming Friday, June 15 on Netflix. Check out the emotional trailer.

"Set It Up" (Netflix Film)
This romantic comedy looks like a potential winner -- it certainly has a great cast. "New York assistants, Harper (Zoey Deutch) and Charlie (Glen Powell), are used to going above and beyond for their high-powered (and highly demanding) bosses, Kristen (Lucy Liu) and Rick (Taye Diggs). But now they're teaming up for the biggest projects of their young careers - getting their bosses to fall in love. Only time will tell whether they strike out...or score a home run." "Lust Stories" (Netflix Film)
This film -- with its damn good title -- is actually four short films by four of India's biggest directors, exploring love, lust, sex, and relationships in modern India. This sequel to the 2013 anthology "Bombay Talkies" is available for streaming June 15. Here's the trailer.

"Voltron: Legendary Defender" Season 6 (Netflix Original)
The sixth season of DreamWorks' animated series debuts June 15. "Suspicious of Lotor's alliance with Voltron, Galra oppressors continue to invade and conquer vulnerable planets throughout the universe. A hyper-focused Team Voltron feels the need to liberate helpless planets and begins a massive campaign to save millions of lives. But after the Paladins uncover some troubling information, they must engage in their most epic battle yet." Here's the trailer.

• "Grey's Anatomy" Season 14: So much happened in the 24 episodes of Season 14. Binge them all in one big emotional roller coaster starting June 16.

"In Bruges" (2008): If you're looking for a good movie to binge, this wonderful and unexpectedly moving hitman dramedy starring Colin Farrell, Brendan Gleeson, Ralph Fiennes, Ciarán Hinds, and Clémence Poésy will also be ready for streaming on June 16.
