An acclaimed, Oscar-nominated mega-blockbuster that has raked in over $1.1 billion worldwide seems to be a no-brainer for a sequel. Yet, Disney isn't even close to working on a follow-up to their smash hit "Frozen."
Disney chairman Alan Horn recently revealed (via The Hollywood Reporter) that the company's animation house hasn't started developing "Frozen 2" yet. In fact, he said a sequel hadn't even been discussed, as the team is focusing on launching a Broadway musical.
That's sad news for "Frozen" fans; even if Disney were to start working on the sequel today, it would likely take at least two years for it to make it to the big screen.
We'll just have to re-watch the original and belt out "Let It Go" for a little while longer.
