Megan Fox Files For Divorce From Brian Austin Green After 11 Years Together

Germany Ninja Trutles Premiere
UPDATE: So much for those reconciliation hopes. According to People, Megan Fox filed for divorce from Brian Austin Green. This divorce update comes two days after it was revealed that the couple had decided to separate. In the divorce docs, Megan cited the classic "irreconcilable differences" and asked for joint physical and legal custody of their sons. Unnamed sources always come out of the woodwork at times like this, and one reportedly close to Megan told People, "Megan and Brian's split is a classic Hollywood story of two people in different stages of life and career. Megan is young and hot and sought after for work, and she is eager to move ahead in her career. Brian wants more of her time than she can allow." The couple reportedly had "many disagreements and arguments about her time at home."

Two more Hollywood stars are said to be consciously uncoupling. Sigh. "Transformers" and "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" actress Megan Fox, 29, and "Beverly Hills, 90210" alum Brian Austin Green, 42, have split up, Us Weekly reports. An insider told them, "Megan has separated from Brian. They decided on it six months ago."

Believe it or not, they've been together for 11 years, even if they were only married for five of them. That's still pretty impressive for a Hollywood couple. Brian was a guest star on Megan's sitcom "Hope & Faith" when she was just 18. "I liked him right away," Megan told New York Times Magazine in 2010, describing how she met Brian on set. "Everyone was around the monitor watching a scene, and Brian accidentally touched my leg. I remember literal electricity shooting through me and out me from every direction. It was like magic."

They initially got engaged two years after they first met, when she was 20, but called it off, only to get re-engaged later. They finally got hitched in June 2010 during a holiday in Hawaii. Megan and Brian have two children together -- sons Noah, 2, and Bodhi, 18 months -- and Brian has a 13-year-old son from a previous relationship.

Us Weekly said their reps couldn't be reached for comment on the reported separation. Best of luck to the stars as they co-parent their sons and do whatever they do next in their individual lives. And who knows, maybe they'll reconcile before one of them files for divorce.
