"Friends" ended back in 2004 and countless fan theories, videos, and mashups have emerged since then, but nothing quite like the sad new fan fiction shared by @strnks on Twitter.On August 24, this fan rather casually commented on an upcoming "Friends" marathon with a proposal of how he would've ended the show. Cue The One Where Friends Got Really Depressing As a Commentary on Urban Loneliness and Drug Addiction. Yeah, it doesn't have quiet the same ring to it.

Amazing. It could fit. And yet it's too sad to really accept. Take us back to the happy place of Phoebe as the wonderfully quirky woman we -- and the friends of "Friends" -- know and love!
