Summer 2015 is almost over (sad face), and it's become one of the biggest ever at the box office.
Thanks to movies like "Avengers: Age of Ultron," "Jurassic World," and "Inside Out," audiences were treated a solid slate worthy of keeping their butts in air-conditioned theaters while munching on overpriced (but so damn delicious) concessions. But, sad face again, it's time to leave the escapist fare behind and go back to, gulp, the real world. With jobs and school and stuff.
In honor of our favorite movie season winding down, we ranked the 30 best summer blockbusters of all-time. From "Star Wars" to "Lion King," we got all your popcorn entertainment needs covered. Our rankings are based on overall film quality, legacy and that ol' chestnut, Editor's Choice. Oh, and we stuck to more traditional summer fare; so, while we love movies like "Saving Private Ryan" and "Road to Perdition," escapist summer fun they ain't.
