Watch 'Stranger Things' Kids Hand Out PB&J Sandwiches at 2016 Emmys

2016 Primetime Emmy Awards - ArrivalsAn hour into the 2016 Emmy Awards, host Jimmy Kimmel figured most of the stars were starving, since they probably hadn't eaten since Labor Day. So he cut to his mother, who was busy creating 7,000 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Jimmy had the kids from Netflix's "Stranger Things" go through the audience on bikes to hand out the sandwiches. (Taraji P. or not P. Henson put her hand up for some food; Sofia Vergara was seen eating; and "The Americans" stars picked up some paper bags).

It was just another casual moment in Kimmel's second hosting gig, which started with a bunch of O.J. Simpson and Donald Trump jokes, and some random shade thrown at poor Maggie Smith.

Of course, it's not unusual for a host to offer food during the show. The Oscars had Girl Scout Cookies and Leonardo DiCaprio himself was spotted enjoying the treats.

Later, Jimmy personally handed out juice boxes -- and gave the show one of its best jokes when his mom "wrote" a note for Amy Schumer that was really intended for Amy Poehler.
