"The Martian" is "Cast Away" in space, minus Wilson the volleyball. And we're totally fine with that.The new trailer for Ridley Scott's much-anticipated sci-fi film, based on the Amazon bestseller by Andy Weir, shows super likable astronaut Matt Damon struggling to survive after being stranded on Mars.
With only his wits and what little equipment he has left, he must MacGuyver his way through life on the red planet -- all while NASA plans a rescue mission that is still a few years away. Judging by the trailer, it's going to be a long -- and intense -- wait.
"Martian," which also stars Jessica Chastain, Kristen Wiig and Jeff Daniels, hits theaters Nov. 25.
