Original "Charmed" star Holly Marie Combs took to Twitter last night to express her disapproval of the upcoming series reboot.
Reacting to the news that the new version will have a "feminist" storyline, Combs (who played Piper for all 8 seasons of the WB series) snarked, "Guess we forgot to do that the first go around. Hmph."

Here's the thing. Until you ask us to rewrite it like Brad Kern did weekly don't even think of capitalizing on our hard work. Charmed belongs to the 4 of us, our vast amount of writers, crews and predominantly the fans. FYI you will not fool them by owning a title/stamp. So bye.

Although she said that die-hard fans "won't be fooled" by the new version, she did add "we wish them well."

On Thursday, The CW announced that that the reboot will no longer be a prequel set in the '70s. They described it as a "fierce, funny, feminist reboot of the original series."
Although the reboot is now set in the present day, don't hold your breath for any of the original stars -- Combs, Shannen Doherty, Alyssa Milano, or Rose McGowan -- to guest star. Or for old school fans to tune in.
Charmed was created by a woman. About women. For women (& gay boys like me). It was the longest running show with a female cast. It's stars campaign for equality to this day. Rebooting it with a "feminist twist" is insulting. (@rosemcgowan @Alyssa_Milano @H_Combs @DohertyShannen)
