Ryan Reynolds Is Remaking 'Clue' With 'Deadpool' Writers

It was Deadpool, in the conservatory, and you don't even want to know what he used.

We're not thrilled that "Clue" is being made into another movie ("IT" and now "Clue" -- no Tim Curry project is safe!) but if Ryan Reynolds is involved, we're 80 percent happier about it.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Reynolds signed a three-year first-look deal with Twentieth Century Fox, the studio behind "Deadpool." His first movie under the deal will be a live-action version of the Hasbro board game "Clue." The game was previously adapted into the 1985 classic comedy starring Tim Curry, Eileen Brennan, Martin Mull, Lesley Ann Warren, Madeline Kahn, Christopher Lloyd, Michael McKean, and Colleen Camp.

Deadline says the film will be developed as a star vehicle for Reynolds, who will produce through his Maximum Effort brand, along with Allspark Pictures. The film will also reunite Reynolds with his "Deadpool" and "Deadpool 2" writers, Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, which may give us a hint of the tone of this "Clue" film.

"Deadpool 2" is now scheduled for release in theaters on May 18, 2018. No release date has been set yet for this "Clue" movie, which is in the very early stages. It'll be interesting to see how they cast the characters, though. Any dream casting suggestions?
