'It: Chapter 2' Director Says Sequel Will Be Scarier: 'Bring Your Adult Diapers'

Maybe Warner Bros. should land a partnership with Depend before "It: Chapter 2" opens next year.

The "It" sequel hasn't even started filming yet, but director Andrés Muschietti talked about "Chapter 2" during WB's presentation at CinemaCon. The movie goes into production this summer, and Muschietti teased dark things ahead:

"It's going to be scarier and more intense, so bring your adult diapers."

Well! That's all he shared, though. Since filming hasn't started, there was no footage to show. Not that you'd be able to see it anyway. A lot of other footage was shown -- an "Aquaman" teaser from Warner Bros., a bunch of Disney/Marvel/Lucasfilm clips -- but only to the CinemaCon attendees. No clips were released to the public, unless you count potential leaks.

"It: Chapter 2" will focus on the adult versions of the Losers Club, 27 years after the first movie. But there will also be flashbacks to the past, featuring the younger stars.

Bill Skarsgard is returning as Pennywise, and Jessica Chastain is said to be playing the adult Beverly Marsh (played by Sophia Lillis in "Chapter 1"). James McAvoy is said to be in talks to play the adult Bill Denbrough (played by Jaeden Lieberher in "Chapter 1"), with Bill Hader as adult Richie Tozier (Finn Wolfhard in "Chapter 1").

"It: Chapter 2" is scheduled to open in theaters on September 6th, 2019.
