Kate Winslet's Nude 'Titanic' Portrait Still Haunts Her to This Day

kate winslet nude titanic portraitIn the 1997 blockbuster "Titanic," Kate Winslet's character, Rose, asked Leonardo DiCaprio's character, Jack, to draw a nude portrait of her. But in real life, Winslet isn't so thrilled with that work of art.

The subject of that iconic sketch was broached during a recent interview Winslet gave to Yahoo! UK, after a fan was seen handing Winslet a copy of the portrait during an autograph session at the U.K. premiere of "Divergent." Winslet revealed that even close to two decades later, that picture still follows her around.

"I don't sign that [picture]. It feels very uncomfortable. Why would you do that?" Winslet told the site. "People ask me to sign that [picture] a lot."

The Oscar-winning actress also said that some fans even bring a photo "lifted from a still of the film" in hopes of getting Winslet to autograph it, another request that she denies.

"I'm like, 'No! I didn't mean for it to be a photograph that I would end up seeing still 17 years later,'" she said, though she laughed as she recounted the tale, proving she's still a good sport despite the embarrassment.

"It's still haunting me," Winslet said. "It's quite funny really."
