After multiple allegations of rape, "Gossip Girl" alum Ed Westwick is getting erased from the BBC miniseries "Ordeal By Innocence."
No, he's not being replaced by Christopher Plummer (who took over for the disgraced Kevin Spacey on "All the Money in the World"). British actor Christian Cooke, whose credits include "Witches of East End" and "Magic City," will take over the part, according to Deadline.
BBC had initially decided to cancel the three-part adaptation of the Agatha Christie novel, after three women accused Westwick of raping them.
The actor, who played Chuck Bass on "Gossip Girl," has strongly denied the allegations. On November 9, 2017, he tweeted that he is "cooperating with the authorities so I can clear my name as soon as possible." (The actor hasn't tweeted since.)
The cast of "Ordeal by Innocence" includes Bill Nighy, Anna Chancellor, Matthew Goode, Luke Treadaway, and Alice Eve. The reshoots will take place later this month, Deadline reports.
