New on DVD and Blu-ray

"Game Night"
It's game on for Jason Bateman and Rachel McAdams, whose star-studded comedy arrives on Blu-ray and DVD on May 22. Extras include a gag reel and "An Unforgettable Evening: Making Game Night." Don't forget that Bateman's Bluths will be back next week with the first batch of "Arrested Development" Season 5 episodes.

"Early Man"
The makers of "Wallace & Gromit," "Chicken Run," and "Shaun the Sheep Movie" head back in time for this animated caveman comedy on Blu-ray/DVD May 22. Extras include the featurettes "Before the Beginning of Time: Creating Early Man," "Nick Park: Massaging the Funny," "The Valley Meets the Bronze," and "Hanging at Aardman Studios: A Workshop Exploration."

Jennifer Lawrence stars as a former ballerina turned lethal agent in this international spy drama, out on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD May 22. The 90 minutes of bonus material include director commentary by Francis Lawrence, deleted scenes, and several behind-the-scenes featurettes on the making of the film.

"A Fantastic Woman"
This winner of the Best Foreign Language Film Oscar -- the first Chilean film to win an Oscar -- tells the story of a young trangender aspiring singer (Daniela Vega) who must confront society and her older lover's family when he unexpectedly dies. The film arrives on Blu-ray and digital May 22, including audio commentary with director Sebastián Lelio and "The Making of A Fantastic Woman" featurette.

"I Kill Giants"
Zoe Saldana, Imogen Poots, Madison Wolfe, and Sydney Wade star in this adventure fantasy arriving on Blu-ray and DVD May 22. "I Kill Giants" is based on the acclaimed graphic novel written by Joe Kelly and illustrated by J.M. Ken Niimura. Extras with the home release include "The Making of I Kill Giants," "Anatomy of a Scene," and "I Kill Giants Graphic Novel: Chapter 1."

New Video on Demand, Rental Streaming, and Digital

"The Looming Tower"The events that led to the 9/11 attacks are chronicled in this powerful 10-part drama, which will be released on Digital May 21 -- just 30 days after the series finale on Hulu. You can get a copy on Blu-ray/DVD on September 18. The release comes with several featurettes on the making of the series -- including interviews with the cast, author Lawrence Wright, Former FBI Special Agent Ali Soufan, the executive producers, and production team.

"Annihilation"
Natalie Portman, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Gina Rodriguez, Tessa Thompson, and Oscar Isaac star in director Alex Garland's mind-bending sci-fi film, which hits Digital May 22, just a week before it arrives on Blu-ray/DVD May 29. Based on the first novel in Jeff VanderMeer's Southern Reach Trilogy, the movie comes with multiple making-of featurettes and cast interviews.

"The Strangers: Prey at Night"
Inspired by the 2008 movie "The Strangers," this horror film brings back the masked villains and adds elements of the '80s slasher genre, while following a family's struggle to survive when they're attacked on vacation. "The Strangers: Prey at Night" arrives on Digital May 22, then on Blu-ray, DVD, and On Demand June 12. Extras include an alternate ending and; an unrated version; making-of featurettes; and interviews with stars Christina Hendricks, Martin Henderson, Bailee Madison, and Lewis Pullman, plus and director Johannes Roberts.

"Sando" (Acorn TV Original Series)
Compared to "an Aussie Arrested Development," the new Australian family comedy "Sando" makes its U.S. premiere Monday, May 21 on Acorn TV. "Sando" stars award-winning Aussie actress Sacha Horler as Victoria "Sando" Sandringham, a charismatic loose cannon CEO and public face of a popular discount furniture store chain, as she tries to reconnect with her estranged family in order to win back her beloved company, Sando's Warehouse. "Lost in London"
Woody Harrelson stars in and also wrote and directed this film, which was shot and broadcast live in theaters in real-time all in one take. Here's what it's about: "Within the course of a night, Woody Harrelson finds himself in a misadventure in London that winds him up in prison." The ambitious film -- co-starring Owen Wilson, Willie Nelson, and Eleanor Matsuura -- will be available on Digital this Friday, May 25. Check out the trailer.

"Picnic at Hanging Rock" Season 1 (Amazon Prime Original)
Natalie Dormer stars in this Prime Original series based on the Australian novel, following the mysterious disappearance of three schoolgirls and their governess. The six episode limited series -- which premieres May 25 on Amazon -- follows the subsequent investigation and the event's far-reaching impact on the students and staff of the college.

"Death Wish"
Bruce Willis takes over for Charles Bronson in Eli Roth's reimagining of the 1974 revenge action thriller. The vigilante action film arrives on Digitally on 4K Ultra HD and Movies Anywhere May 22. The Blu-ray, DVD and VOD 4K versions will be available June 5. Extras include commentary with Eli Roth and Roger Birnbaum; deleted and extended scenes; and the featurette "Vengeance and Vision: Directing Death Wish."

TV Worth Watching

"The Middle" Series Finale (Tuesday on ABC at 8:30 p.m.)THE MIDDLE - “Thanksgiving VIII” - Frankie has come to the conclusion that April (guest star Greer Grammer) is not good enough for Axl and does everything in her power to keep her out of their annual Christmas family photo. "The Red Nose Day Special" (Thursday on NBC at 8 p.m.)
Chris Hardwick hosts 2018's star-studded night of fund-raising to help kids around the world. NBC's three-hour block of Red Nose Day programming includes the second annual edition of "Celebrity Ninja Warrior" at 8 p.m., and a special episode of "Hollywood Game Night" airing at 9 p.m.

"The Final Year" (Monday on HBO at 8 p.m.)
This documentary, premiering May 21 on HBO, chronicles President Barack Obama's foreign-policy team during its last year in office. The film follows Secretary of State John Kerry, UN Ambassador Samantha Power, Deputy National Security Adviser Ben Rhodes, National Security Adviser Susan Rice, and President Obama himself as they travel the world over the course of 2016, attempting to "lock-in" policies that they believe will define their legacy, all while preparing to hand over the keys to the next administration.

"The Toys That Made Us" Second Half (Netflix Original)
The first part of this eight-part docuseries delved into the histories for Barbie, G.I. Joe, Star Wars, and He-Man. The second batch of four episodes will cover LEGOs, Transformers, Star Trek toys, and Hello Kitty. Check out the trailer. The series arrives May 25.

"Explained" (Netflix Original)
This enlightening docuseries from Vox ... explains stuff! That's why it's "Explained"! It explores a range of topics including the rise of cryptocurrency, why diets fail, and the wild world of K-pop. Learn some stuff starting May 23.

"Survivors Guide to Prison"
This documentary film on the prison system, narrated by director Matthew Cooke and actress Susan Sarandon, focuses on the daily life and problems behind bars. The doc features interviews with former inmates, plus police officers, court officials, lawyers, journalists, and celebrities -- some of whom are former inmates themselves. Watch the alarming film starting May 24 on Netflix.

"Ibiza" (Netflix Film)
Gillian Jacobs, Richard Madden, Vanessa Bayer, and Phoebe Robinson star in this romantic comedy arriving on Netflix May 25. "A work trip turns into a NSFW trip when Harper's (Gillian Jacobs) two best friends tag along. What happens in Ibiza stays in Ibiza... right?"

"Trollhunters" Part 3 (Netflix Original)
The fate of troll and human civilizations hang in the balance in the final season of DreamWorks' "Trollhunters."
