Sorry, SJP, she's just not that into you.
You've probably been following the back-and-forth professional breakup between "Sex and the City" costars Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Cattrall.
It all started last fall with the revelation that "Sex and the City 3" would not be happening -- because Cattrall didn't want to return as Samantha. SJP made some comments about how sad it was, 'cause they had a script and were all ready to go. Cattrall didn't appreciate being positioned as the bad guy -- especially when there were rumors that she made "demands," and her only demand was that she didn't want to do a third movie.
Cattrall then did an interview on Piers Morgan's show, distancing herself from entire cast. She singled out Sarah Jessica Parker for criticism, saying, "I think she could have been nicer" about how SATC3 was handled.
Well, SJP was on "Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen" last night, and Cohen read off a question from a fan:
"What was your reaction to Kim Cattrall telling Piers Morgan that you were never friends, just colleagues."
Here's SJP's response:
"Just heartbroken. I mean that whole week -- you [Andy Cohen] and I spoke about it endlessly, 'cause I was just. I don't know. I was really -- I found it very upsetting, because that's not the way I recall our experience. It's sad, but I always think that what ties us together is this singular experience. It was a professional experience, but it became personal because it was years and years of our lives. So I'm hoping that that eclipses anything that's been recently spoken. That many years spent doing something so special that people had a connection with it is such a privilege."
Watch her talk about it, and see Andy audition to be the new Samantha Jones:
