The 'Solo: A Star Wars Story' Trailer Recut to 'Sabotage' Is Perfection

The first teaser trailer for upcoming spinoff flick "Solo: A Star Wars Story" dropped earlier this month, finally giving fans a glimpse at the mysterious (and notoriously troubled) film. And while the clip was more than serviceable, full of the action, swagger, and winking humor you'd expect from a movie centered around Han Solo, it also wasn't exactly revolutionary, either.

Enter the Beastie Boys.

Chris Gelagar, who runs the cinema podcast War Starts and Midnight, recut the "Solo" clip to the Beasties' "Sabotage," and the mashup instantly makes the film look a thousand times more fun. It's hard to argue with the song's success in sci-fi films, thanks to its continued prevalence in the rebooted "Star Trek" series, and it fits in with the "Star Wars" crew just fine, too.

"Solo," starring Alden Ehrenreich as the titular hero, will focus on the "Star Wars" hero as a young man, and feature him meeting his future BFFs Chewbacca (Joonas Suotamo) and Lando Calrissian (Donald Glover). The flick will also include the legendary Kessel Run that's name-dropped in the original trilogy. (That might be a good place to actually insert "Sabotage" into the film, in case director Ron Howard is looking for suggestions.)

"Solo: A Star Wars Story" is due in theaters on May 25.
