The First 'Tremors 6' Photos Reveal 'A Cold Day in Hell'

Burt Gummer is back to freeze out some Graboids.

The sixth movie in the "Tremors" series, "Tremors: A Cold Day in Hell," is coming out later this year. ScreenRant shared the first photos from the movie, which brings back franchise star Michael Gross as Burt Gummer, along with his "Tremors 5" costar Jamie Kennedy as Travis Welker.

As the subtitle suggests, the twist of "A Cold Day in Hell" is that Burt and Travis are now at a research base in the Arctic, which is a change from the heat of past movies. (Side note: This is giving us flashbacks to Ben Stiller's "Scorcher VI" trailer from "Tropic Thunder." "Who left the fridge open?")

Here's a description of the film via Bloody Disgusting:

"Burt Gummer (Michael Gross) and his son Travis Welker (Jamie Kennedy) find themselves up to their ears in Graboids and Ass-Blasters when they head to Canada to investigate a series of deadly giant-worm attacks. Arriving at a remote research facility in the artic tundra, Burt begins to suspect that Graboids are secretly being weaponized, but before he can prove his theory, he is sidelined by Graboid venom. With just 48 hours to live, the only hope is to create an antidote from fresh venom — but to do that, someone will have to figure out how to milk a Graboid!"

Gross and Kennedy are joined by franchise newcomers Tanya van Graan (Death Race: Inferno), Rob van Vuuren (Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom) and Greg Kriek (Momentum)."

"Tremors 5: Bloodlines" director Don Michael Paul is back, along with writer John Whelpley. There's no official release date at this point, but they're reportedly aiming for May 2018.
