What would Ryan Reynolds and the "Deadpool 2" team have done with their marketing without "Avengers: Infinity War"?
So much of the promotion has been tied to the Marvel movie, including crossover insults for Josh Brolin, who plays Cable in "Deadpool 2" and Thanos in "Infinity War."
You know that the Russo Brothers posted a letter to fans before "Infinity War" opened, asking people not to spoil the movie's "true plot." They added the hashtag #ThanosDemandsYourSilence.
Well, two can play that game.
A week before the opening of "Deadpool 2," Reynolds posted a letter from Wade Wilson, also asking for your sister, er, silence.
"...Almost everyone involved in the film has given maximum effort the past two years, maintaining the highest level of super secrets, like how David Blaine catches bullets in his mouth. And the secret blend of 11 herbs and spices in Colonel Sanders' delicious moustache.
Only a handful of people know the film's true plot, and one of them is not Ryan Reynolds..."
Lovingly, Wade. #deadpool2 pic.twitter.com/FEPOCVKRDc

That hashtag is such an upgrade! People are seriously using it.
"Deadpool 2" opens in theaters May 18, but -- no joke -- spoilers of some kind may come out after a screening event this coming Monday.
