Brutal 'Mean Tweets' NFL Edition Wins Super Bowl 2018 Weekend

At least the NFL players fight back, responding to their mean tweeters.

Super Bowl LII airs February 4, and "Jimmy Kimmel Live" continued its tradition of initiating Super Bowl weekend with a special NFL edition of Mean Tweets:

NFL players, while beloved by many, are also on the receiving end of a lot of unpleasantness. So in honor of the Super Bowl, we asked players to read some of the hard knocks they took on social media this season in our third NFL Edition of #MeanTweets featuring Rashad Jennings, Gerald McCoy, Travis Kelce, Terry Bradshaw, TY Hilton, Peyton Manning, Fletcher Cox, Ryan Tannehill, Jarvis Landry, Earl Thomas, Amari Cooper, Jason Pierre Paul, Emmanuel Sanders, Danny Amendola, Ndamukong Suh, Michael Crabtree & Aqib Talib.

Former running back Rashad Jennings -- who won the Spring 2017 season of "Dancing with the Stars" -- was the first up, and he responded to his tweets with some polite advice to "stay in school." Gerald McCoy of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers also clapped back when his tweeter accused him of being lazy. "As you spell 'Mcoy.' But I'm the lazy one. You couldn't finish spelling my name."

Most of the tweets are bleeped out, because sports fans like to call players "f**king p*ssies" as often as possible. But some of the tweets are more creative than that, including the ones for Danny Amendola and Michael Crabtree.

Watch the video:If you want more, here are past Mean Tweets, not just from Super Bowl LI but also Oscars, country music, and the usual celebrity editions.
