"Conan" has given us a warm-and-fuzzy moment "Game of Thrones" probably never will: Bran Stark and Hodor together again.
During San Diego Comic-Con last week, Isaac Hempstead Wright was talking about playing his character, Bran, and how it has been strange continuing on without his co-star Kristian Nairn. As Hodor, the older actor was Hempstead Wright's constant companion on set -- until his character's tragic death in Season 6.
"Well, I've grown up next to Kristian Nairn ... for the past six years, and so to suddenly not to have that literally big presence on set has been really sad," he said. "I miss my big, friendly giant."
Fortunately, he didn't have to miss Nairn much longer. Host Conan O'Brien took that moment to surprise Hempstead-Wright by bringing out his friend, and the two looked genuinely thrilled to see each other again. We'd go so far as to say the reunion was as satisfying as when Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) avenged the Red Wedding, just in a totally different way.
We don't know yet if we'll see Hodor again on "Game of Thrones," but we're worried that if we do, he'll be part of the army of the dead. At least the reunion was sweet while it lasted.
"Conan" airs weeknights at 11 p.m. ET/PT on TBS.
