What's New on Netflix, TV, Digital, and DVD/Blu-ray This Week: April 27 - May 3

At a loss for what to watch this week? From new DVDs and Blu-rays, to what's streaming on Netflix, we've got you covered.

New on DVD and Blu-ray

"The Boy Next Door"
Jennifer Lopez plays a sexy high school teacher whose fling with a teenager turns into a dark obsession in this so-bad-it's-good thriller. The Blu-ray and DVD combo pack includes the bonus features "The Making of The Boy Next Door," feature commentary from director Rob Cohen, and deleted scenes. Here's an exclusive clip from the Blu-ray release, with Lopez talking about how much she loves psychological thrillers: The Boy Next Door - DVD Clip No. 1

"The Wedding Ringer"
Jimmy (Kevin Hart) is paid to be the best man at weddings for awkward loners. One of those loners, Doug (Josh Gad), hires Jimmy for his wedding, and so begins an elaborate charade and a hilarious bromantic comedy. The Blu-ray includes outtakes, deleted scenes, music video, improvised lines, and some scene commentary.
"Paddington"
Warm and fuzzies abound in this charmer. "Paddington" was made available on iTunes on April 17, but it's out on DVD/Blu-ray, Digial HD, Netflix, and Redbox on April 28. A worth addition to any family film library.

TV Worth Watching

"Secrets and Lies" (Sunday on ABC at 9 p.m. EST)
Who really killed Tom Murphy? ABC promises to reveal the killer in the "shocking" season finale, titled "The Lie." This may be a big watercooler topic on Monday morning, so get yourself up to date on the Ryan Phillippe/Juliette Lewis drama.

"Dancing With the Stars" (Monday and Tuesday on ABC at 8 p.m.)
The big 10th anniversary special airs April 28, celebrating 20 seasons of dancing. Tune in to watch your old favorites hit the dance floor one last time ... or at least until the 20th anniversary special.

"Blue Bloods" (Friday on CBS at 10 p.m.)
Tom Selleck's police procedural wraps Season 5 on May 1. Episode 22, part two of the two-part season finale, was given the intriguing title "The Art of War." Expect a big night for Donnie Wahlberg's Danny Reagan.

New on Netflix

"National Treasure"
Nicolas Cage's popular historical adventure spawned a couple of sequels. Check out the original on Netflix on April 27.

"Legally Blonde" and "Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blonde"
Catch the 2001 Reese Witherspoon blonde ambition anthem and the 2003 sequel on Netflix on May 1.

"The Prize Winner of Defiance, Ohio"
Reigning Best Actress winner Julianne Moore plays Evelyn Ryan, a 1950s mother of 10 children who enters multiple contests to win big prizes and support her struggling family. Based on a true story.

New Video on Demand, Rental Streaming, and Digital Only

"Men in Black II" (Amazon Prime)
Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones are back in black in this 2002 MIB sequel, which offers more of the same. Not that that's a bad thing.

"The Professional" (aka "Léon") (Amazon Prime)
Grab a glass of milk and watch a young Natalie Portman steal everything but the lights opposite Jean Reno in Luc Besson's ultra-cool 1994 action thriller.

"Big Trouble in Little China" (Amazon Prime)
Head to San Francisco's Chinatown with Kurt Russell in John Carpenter's 1986 action comedy. A B-movie classic.
