Jimmy Fallon is reportedly in the intensive care unit at a New York City hospital, according to TMZ.
Details are scant right now, but TMZ reports that Fallon's Friday taping of "The Tonight Show" has been cancelled after the host was hospitalized following a night out on the town on Thursday. Following a taping Thursday night, Fallon had dinner at an Upper East Side restaurant, and posed for photos with some female fans, but apparently suffered some sort of medical emergency shortly thereafter, prompting a trip to the hospital.
According to TMZ, a rep for "The Tonight Show" says Fallon injured his hand, though another source says that the host was being treated in the ICU. We're not sure what he could have done to his hand that would require such serious medical care, but we expect that "Tonight Show" or NBC reps will have more to say about the incident soon.
Stay tuned for more details as they become available.
