A friend is missing and some new friends (or foes?) may be found in "The Walking Dead" Season 7, Episode 10.
At this point, Episode 9 has yet to air. That supersized episode is called "Rock in the Road," and AMC teased that "Rick is introduced to a new community." Well, the episode after that seems to be of the same mind. It's not on AMC's site yet, but On Demand has the title of Sunday, Feb. 19's Episode 10 as "New Best Friends," with this synopsis:
"While searching for a missing Alexandrian, Rick and his group encounter a mysterious collective, its inhabitants unlike any they have come across."
It's possible that Rick meets the Kingdom -- a new community to him, if not to us -- in Episode 9, and the "mysterious collective" is the group teased in the junkyard photo:
But that's just a guess. No spoilers here, just speculation.
AMC just posted a video with showrunner Scott Gimple breaking down the "New Worlds" of Season 7:We do know that the second half will show Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and company "rise up" against Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and the Saviors, which is easier said than done. Our group has to convince the other communities to step up, despite the inevitability of violence and lost lives.
In addition to "preparing for war," AMC's Season 7B synopsis promised the following:
"...We'll meet new survivors in incredible places. We'll see Rick and the group tested in ways we've never seen before. We'll see treachery from people we trust. Rick is confident as he will see his group and many others band together with the common goal of taking down Negan. But no amount of planning will prepare the group for all-out war with Negan and his army."
"The Walking Dead" Season 7 returns this Sunday, Feb. 12 at 9 p.m. on AMC.
