'Big Little Lies' and 'True Detective' Won't Return Until 2019

Big Little LiesYes, "Big Little Lies" will be back, but don't look for it until at least 2019, HBO programming president Casey Bloys said Thursday at the Television Critics Association's winter press tour in Pasadena. Also don't expect "True Detective" season 3 until 2019.

As for whether there'll be a third season of "Big Little Lies," Bloys says, "Who knows?"

Who knows?! It's a great group. They love working together and they're really fun to work with. But everybody is really busy. So let's see.

He also said that the show is "maybe" bringing in actresses to play mother to Alexander Skarsgard and Zoe Kravitz's characters.

Bloys also confirmed we'll be getting five "Game of Thrones" prequels. He says there's "no timetable" for them yet, except that "nothing is going to air on HBO until at least a year after the final season."

As for that long-awaited "Deadwood" movie, it might start shooting in fall 2018.

What we'll be getting on HBO in 2018 includes:
