We still have a few more weeks before the fifth season of "The Walking Dead" returns from hiatus, but a new teaser trailer for the midseason premiere hammers home the group's resolve to survive, despite the uncertainty that it faces.
The short clip depicts Rick, Daryl, Carol, and the rest of the group wandering through a misty forest, weapons raised in anticipation of the dangers that await within. Suddenly, everyone opens fire, their faces a mixture of anger and fear.
"Surviving together is all that matters," Rick says in voiceover. But after the loss of Beth during the midseason finale, the likelihood of that proclamation seems a bit more difficult to swallow.
"The Walking Dead" will resume its fifth season on AMC on February 8 at 9 p.m.
