Waiting a decade -- or more -- to make a sequel isn't exactly a widely practiced business model in Hollywood. Lately, the longest you have to wait is two or three years before the next installment in whatever potential or established franchise hits theaters.

In the last few of years, however, waiting a decade (or more) for a follow-up isn't such a crazy proposition. (Um, hello, "Mad Max: Fury Road.")
