'Will & Grace' Revival: NBC Adds More Episodes

Will & GraceNBC has realized that a 10-episode "Will & Grace" revival just isn't enough.

The network is giving fans what they want: more. NBC has decided to expand the sitcom's order, pushing the episode count from 10 to 12, Deadline reports.

When "Will & Grace" returns, it will bring its ninth season, after more than a decade off the air. (The sitcom's original run began in 1998 and lasted until 2006.) The revival will reunite us with Will (Eric McCormack), Grace (Debra Messing), Karen (Megan Mullally), and Jack (Sean Hayes), now 10 years older and maybe even wiser.

The stars aren't the only alums to participate in the revival, either. Series creators Max Mutchnick and David Kohan are back on board, along with director James Burrows, yet another "Will & Grace" vet. The trio are executive producing as well.

By going for more episodes, NBC is capitalizing on fan excitement. Calls for a revival caught the network's attention in the fall after the Mutchnick got the sitcom's stars to reprise their roles for a mini-episode with a not-so-subtle political message. Now, we'll get to see how the gang adapts to the new reality, plus we'll find out what else is going on in their lives.

The expanded order gives us two more reasons to be excited.
