Yep, there's an "Angry Birds" movie coming this May -- taking the birds vs. pigs game, giving it a loose plot, and selling it to kids, their parents, and any other adults who like underdog stories and pee jokes.
A teaser trailer came out last September, but the first official trailer just dropped, focusing on a bird with anger issues named Red (voiced by Jason Sudeikis). Red is the only one who recognizes that the new pigs in town are up to no good. And Red seems to be angry because he's bullied for his eyebrows and treated like an outcast -- like Rudolph if Rudolph just snapped one day.
The trailer takes us through the basics of the story, as Red and his fellow outsider buddies Chuck (Josh Gad) and Bomb (Danny McBride) try to figure out what the green pigs are up to. Along the way, they visit the awe-inspiring Mighty Eagle and learn the truth about his "lake of wisdom." Let's just say it's a good reminder on why you don't want to go around drinking from random fountains and streams. You don't know what's really in there.
This thing has an all-star voice cast, from the three main guys to Maya Rudolph, Kate McKinnon, Tony Hale, Keegan-Michael Key, Bill Hader, and even Peter Dinklage. It's scheduled for release on May 20th.
