Gary Cole's Trump-Inspired 'Law & Order: SVU' Episode Gets New Air Date

NBC pulled the Donald Trump-inspired episode of "Law & Order: SVU" planned for October 26, but now it is back on the schedule -- for after the election.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, "Unstoppable," starring Gary Cole, will air on Wednesday, November 16. It had previously been scheduled for this Wednesday, October 26, before the November 8 presidential election, but then then the network postponed it.

A promo had already aired, and this synopsis had been posted by the network:

"A politician's (Emmy and SAG Award-nominated guest star Gary Cole) campaign goes haywire when several women go public with damaging accusations."

The promo -- promising "an unforgettable performance" from Gary Cole -- includes Cole's politician saying, "I'm a handsome, charming millionaire -- women throw themselves at me." Hmm. Sound a little too close to someone who has been in recent headlines?

Watch it:
"Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" is currently airing its 18th season. The new episode scheduled for October 26 is called "Rape Interrupted," guest starring Anthony Edwards.
