New on DVD and Blu-ray
• "Spider-Man: Homecoming"
You have a "Homecoming" date with Peter Parker on Tuesday. Tom Holland's first Spider-Man solo movie arrives on Blu-ray, DVD, and 4K Ultra HD on October 17, complete with all of the bells and whistles fans expect from Marvel home releases. Blu-ray and digital bonus materials include "The Spidey Study Guide," 10 deleted scenes, a gag reel, seven featurettes, "Rappin' with Cap: Captain America PSAs," and a photo gallery.

This documentary, out on Digital and DVD on October 17, won the Sundance Film Festival Special Jury Award for Inspirational Filmmaking. It follows the senior year of a girls' high school step dance team in Baltimore's inner city.
• "Girls Trip"
Four lifelong friends -- the Flossy Posse -- get together for a weekend of fun in 2017's biggest R-rated comedy, out on Blu-ray, DVD, and On Demand on October 17. Bonus features include deleted scenes, a gag reel, an extended performance of "Because of You" by Ne-Yo, and three behind-the-scenes featurettes.
• Redbox: New titles coming October 17 include "Spider-Man: Homecoming," "The House," "Justice," "Shot Caller," "The Veil," "Step," "Lady Macbeth," and Jackals."
New Video on Demand, Rental Streaming, and Digital
• "The Dark Tower"
Idris Elba and Matthew McConaughey star in this battle of good and evil based on Stephen King's epic novels. "The Dark Tower" debuts on digital October 17, and on Blu-ray, DVD, and 4K Ultra HD on October 31. Digital and Blu-ray bonus materials include deleted scenes, a blooper reel, "A Look Through the Keyhole," and five behind-the-scenes featurettes. (The DVD comes with the blooper reel and two featurettes.)

Callum Turner plays a fresh college graduate embroiled in a complicated affair in this drama co-starring Kate Beckinsale, Pierce Brosnan, Cynthia Nixon, Jeff Bridges, Kiersey Clemons, Debi Mazar, Bill Camp, and Tate Donovan. The film arrives on Digital HD on October 20, including three featurettes looking at the making of the film, the eco-friendly measures that the production used, and how the character of New York City contributed to the story.

"The Conjuring" series continues with Annabelle's origin story, which is ready to creep you out till you can't sleep October 20 on digital and October 24 on DVD and Blu-ray. The Blu-ray combo pack includes director's commentary and several behind-the-scenes featurettes on the making of the movie.
TV Worth Watching
• "The Walking Dead" Season 8 (Sunday on AMC at 9 p.m.)
We're goin' to war! "The Walking Dead" returns October 22, and the Season 8 premiere is also the 100th episode of the entire series. Negan and Rick are now engaged in All Out War, which means more action is ahead, and the characters should be sticking together instead of being split into mini groups like last year. Fingers crossed that they've learned some lessons from Season 7 -- and by "they" we don't just mean Team Rick.
• "The Exorcist" Season 2 (Friday on FOX at 9 p.m.)
Are you watching this wonderful horror show? Season 2 has been strong so far, with John Cho shining as beleaguered foster father Andy, who's dealing with a possible possession in his family in addition to a visit from home care. Catch up on the show On Demand and join the fun when Episode 4, "One for Sorrow," airs this Friday.
• "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" (Thursday on ABC at 8 p.m.)
No Halloween season is complete without this classic. "Grey's Anatomy" is taking this week off, so Linus can await the most sincere pumpkin in the patch, from 8 to 8:30, followed by Woody, Buzz and friends in Toy Story OF TERROR!" from 8:30 to 9.
• "John Wick: Chapter 2" (Saturday on HBO at 8 p.m.)
If you're staying in this Saturday, and want something cool to watch before "Saturday Night Live," Keanu Reeves' not-so-retired super-assassin will be on HBO, thinkin' he's back. "John Wick: Chapter Three" is officially in the works, with the third film in the "John Wick" franchise scheduled for release on May 17, 2019.
• "1922" (Netflix Original Film)
Netflix is following "Gerald's Game" with another original film based on a Stephen King novella. Thomas Jane and Molly Parker star in this story of a farmer who brutally murders his wife and convinces his teenage son to help, only for things to unravel in typical Uncle Stevie fashion. "One more drive, then he's out." Frank Grillo, Garret Dillahunt, Shea Whigham, and Caitlin Carmichael star in this action thriller about a getaway driver double-crossed during a bank robbery gone wrong. The Netflix film premieres October 20.• "One of Us" (Netflix Original)
"Nobody leaves the Hasidic community, unless they're willing to pay the price." This documentary, streaming on Netflix October 20, examines the world of Hasidic Judaism and those who wish to leave that community for a life among the non-religious.• "Patton Oswalt: Annihilation" (Netflix Original)
Patton Oswalt's new stand-up special gets particularly personal, with the actor/comedian opening up on the death of his wife, and how he worked through the grief by finding humor. Oswalt also tackles social media, politics, and more, with the on-hour special premiering Tuesday, October 17.
