Shakespeare introduced us to star-crossed lovers, and now, centuries later, "Scoobynatural" seems to be giving us a star-crossovered romance.
The CW released a featurette Monday that shows the making of its "Supernatural" and "Scooby-Doo" crossover episode. The video highlights the fascinating and fun challenge of uniting the two very different shows, and in the process, it reveals a new, if temporary, love interest for Dean (Jensen Ackles). Specifically, one of the "Scoobynatural" episode clips shows him putting the moves on a member of the Scooby gang.
The tease comes as "Supernatural" producer Andrew Dabb explains that Dean is worried about how the Winchesters' presence will impact the innocence of the "Scooby-Doo" characters given the danger he and Sam (Jared Padalecki) routinely face.
"He doesn't want to corrupt them... except for maybe Daphne," Dabb quips in the video.
Ackles apparently agrees, and he tells the cameras, "Dean gets very excited." We then see a clip of Dean introducing himself to her and kissing her hand. Animated sparks fly.

The crossover episode should be an entertaining change of pace. If you weren't already excited, we bet you are now.
"Supernatural" airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
