'The Originals' Season 5 Trailer Didn't Show Klaroline, So Fans Are Lodging Complaints

The CW gave "The Originals" fans a Season 5 trailer, but that wasn't enough to make everyone happy.

The 30-second preview came Monday via TVLine, and it featured intense moments as well as big changes, like Elijah (Daniel Gillies) burning in the sun and a glimpse at the older version of Hope (Danielle Rose Russell). Still, many fans saw a big void: There were no scenes featuring Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Caroline (Candice King), and to top it off, we didn't get to see Caroline at all.

Not surprisingly, those hoping for a Klaroline endgame needed a way to express their ire, and Twitter provided it. Fans lodged their complaints on the social media site, bemoaning the complete lack of Klaus and Caroline content. Read on below, but be warned that some people's language ventures into NSFW territory.

People are still holding out hope for some Klaroline moments in the next trailer. Whatever happens, we can rest assured that we'll see Caroline in "The Originals" soon. She's slated for a multi-episode arc in the show's fifth and final season.

Watch the trailer below -- if you can handle the lack of Klaroline scenes.

"The Originals" Season 5 premieres Friday, April 20 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
