Watch 'Harry Potter' Star Tom Felton Take on the Bible in New Trailer for 'Risen'

"Harry Potter" fans are about to see Tom Felton in a whole new light.

The once and future Draco Malfoy stars opposite Joseph Finnes in the new trailer for Biblical epic "Risen."

The new film centers on Clavius (Finnes), a powerful Roman Military Tribune, and his aide, Lucius, played by Felton. The two are given the unenviable task of uncovering what happened to Jesus in the weeks following the crucifixion, in an effort to disprove the rumors of the risen Messiah and prevent an uprising in Jerusalem.

Lots of drama, with Felton front and center, ensue. Watch the trailer below.

"Risen" hits theaters January 2016.
