Royal Wedding: New Details on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's May Nuptials

Wedding bells will be ringing for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in just a few months, so Kensington Palace is preparing us now.

The palace announced key details Monday, including the ceremony's start time. While the service itself will kick off at noon on May 19, the festivities don't stop there. The upcoming royal wedding is going to be quite the event, complete with a carriage procession and two receptions.

The announcement started by sharing the prince and his actress fiancée's gratitude for "the many good wishes" they've gotten since going public with their engagement in November. Kensington Palace went on to name the dean of Windsor as the person conducting the service. The archbishop of Canterbury will be the ceremony's officiant.

Once Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are officially married, they will ride in a carriage procession from St. George's Chapel, through the town, and then back, the palace said. Upon their return, the prince and princess will enjoy a reception in St. George's Hall. After that, they'll have a private evening gathering with just family and close friends.

It's going to be a big day, not to mention a long one for those of us in North America who will have to wake up in the wee hours of the morning to watch it.
