As with every batch of Teen Choice honorees, this year's nominees included both some expected candidates ("Furious 7" for best action/adventure movie, as well as a bunch of other nods) and some surprising ones, too (does anyone actually remember the Taylor Lautner-starring actioner "Tracers"? Teens actually saw -- and liked -- "Aloha"?). Still, the Teen Choice Awards pride themselves on being tapped directly into the teen zeitgeist (a.k.a. several social media channels), and with nominees and winners coming straight from the target demo themselves, this is one of very few awards shows that's always guaranteed to make its core audience happy.
