"Riverdale" Season 2 is now filming, and a new post from the showrunner has fans very confused.
Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa tweeted a photo showing Betty (Lili Reinhart) and Veronica (Camila Mendes) at Pop's, with -- surprise! -- "Supergirl" herself, Melissa Benoist, in frame for the scene, in full Supergirl costume.

Fans aren't really expecting a crossover, unless the stars were just shooting a fun CW promo teasing that other real superhero crossover. Multiple The CW shows film in Vancouver, and Melissa Benoist already visited the "Riverdale" set last year to hang out (in normal clothes) with KJ Apa (Archie) and Cole Sprouse (Jughead).

However, TVLine did just post a little "blind item" that many fans think is about "Riverdale":
"Mini-Blind Item: A relatively new and popular one-hour drama series is about to venture outside its wheelhouse and dabble in the supernatural."
So maybe it's not completely crazy to think "Riverdale" could see some superhero action. Still, for now, this just seems like the stars and showrunner being playful and not actually adding Supergirl to the Season 2 storyline.
"Riverdale" Season 2 will premiere October 11 on The CW.
